Our client is looking for an experienced Policy Manager to support senior managers and Directors across the growing social housing business.

They need somebody who can assess and analyse the external challenges, both nationally locally, and provide support teams to make sure that the policy and strategy is developed and updated. You will help them to make the most of the opportunities that these changes present to them, whether by exploiting opportunities to build more homes or to improve the way that they deliver services.  Your analysis and research will also support the development of the stakeholder relationships.

You will need to have solid experience in policy development.  Your experience will probably be from a social housing or related sector, and they are particularly interested in candidates who have a working knowledge of current issues in welfare reform and rents.  You will be able to see beyond the core discipline of documenting organisational policy clearly and accurately, and be able to collaborate with and to challenge managers to evaluate choices between policy options against clearly defined strategic objectives. 

You'll be working as part of a small team to develop and deliver a range of activities to engage stakeholders with our work and values.
