Our Client is a well established company that designs, supplies, installs and commissions both water and wastewater treatment systems for a very wide range of industrial applications. The selected person will have overall responsibility for sales for the Company. This includes liaising with the Managing Director regarding the marketing effort, deciding on the target markets and customers, actively contacting both potential and existing clients, obtaining enquiries and then liaising with the Process and Proposals Engineers from then on to the obtaining of orders. This is all for the provision of both water & wastewater treatment plants and on-going technical and service support, plant upgrades etc. We anticipate that the successful candidate will have significant and proven experience in a similar role. We expect the successful candidate will be a "Technical Sales" person, with the following education and experience: substantial technical / process knowledge and experience in biological treatment systems of various types and sizes for industrial applications. substantial and proven knowledge and experience in the sale of such wastewater treatment systems with values typically in the range of £250,000 to £5 million a suitable qualification such as a degree in Chemical / Bio-chemical Engineering. The primary target is for sales of biological treatment systems in the UK and Ireland. This will focus on industrial sectors such as Food, Dairy & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Chemical, Oil & Gas etc. Traditionally, much of the Company's business has been in Inorganic wastewater treatment, for example in Aerospace & Transport, Semiconductor / Solar etc. There will also be a need to focus in these areas to some extent. The company also does substantial amounts of work outside the UK, which means that travel abroad will be required as and when we receive enquiries from other countries or when we agree to target markets and or clients in other countries. Foreign travel is also likely to involve visits to other companies. This clearly means that the candidate must have a valid passport at all times. Although the primary target is capital sales of water and wastewater treatment plants, the candidate will also be required to push the Company's abilities in on-going servicing, technical support and spare parts sales.
