Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate. With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need. St Michaels formally part of the HQL Group, provides specialist support for adult with Intellectual Disabilities who may also have Autistic Spectrum Conditions. The individuals may at times present with severely challenging behaviours. The service offers 24 hrs support & staff will be expected to provide the support needed to enable the people who use the service to reach their goals and to develop their self esteem and the skills they need to live as independently as possible. As a Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.
