Our client, a globally recognised market leading firm, is currently looking for client-focused, enthusiastic and technically minded individuals to join their technical team as a Technical Consultant ; implementing and supporting financial software applications and trading software. The Technical Consultant role is based in Woking, Surrey, but there is opportunity for global travel in the future if desired You will be offered full product training before starting your role as a Technical Consultant, and will then work directly with clients to implement the best solutions for their needs. Helping maintain the bespoke software solutions and handling customer change and enhancement requests. Excellent communication skills are therefore essential Technical Consultant - Financial Software - Key Requirements: All applicants must have a good degree in an IT or numeracy-related discipline; Experience with SQL and relational databases, plus experience with Unix or Linux systems, are also advantageous. Proven software development / delivery or support experience working on client sites, with first rate communication skills; Specific knowledge in programming or scripting languages is highly desirable; this is not a pure development role, but programming fundamentals and the ability to understand code is essential.
