Background Established for 40 years, our company is a central heating and electrical installation company working for Local Authorities and Housing Associations within their housing stock, throughout the South East. Clairglow is located near Sevenoaks in Kent. We are seeking a Gas Contracts Manager to be responsible for the management and organisation of the Central Heating and Gas Servicing Division. To take charge of a range of Central Heating Installation and Gas Servicing contracts, ensuring effective delivery of the contracts and acting as the main point of contact for our Clients. About the Role · Responsible for Strategic management of the Installation & Servicing Department. · Act as the first point of contact for Clients. · Be fully conversant with individual Contracts. · Ensure compliance with the contract specifications, technical and legal standards. Contract Management · Ensuring weekly target installation numbers are met in accordance with the programme. · Forecast manpower requirements for each contract and recruit labour when required. · New Contract Mobilisation planning and implementation. · Ensure day-to-day problems that will impact on service delivery are resolved. · Manage contract costs and variations. · Flexibility to manage multiple contracts. · Develop a detailed knowledge of individual contracts. · Ability to scrutinise Specifications and Tender documents. · Provide detailed weekly written Contract progress reports to Managing Director. Client Liaison · Client Liaison with Local Authority and Housing Association Clients. · Attend Client meetings and act as company representative reporting on company performance against Client KPIs. · Compile Client reports. · Manage and resolve any customer complaints in accordance with our complaints procedure. Development · Contribute to the operational strategy of the Central Heating and Gas Servicing Division, introducing new initiatives to develop and improve performance of the department. Skills & Experience · Have experience in Gas Heating Installations in domestic properties · People management experience – motivating, developing and performance management. · Have experience working on a Social Housing Contract · Ideally 5 years experience within a similar role Qualifications · ACS Certified with either: City & Guilds Gas Fitting or City & Guilds Gas Service Engineer or NVQ Level 3 Gas Service Engineer · Strong IT Skills - Computer Literate with experience in Word and Excel and Access. Desirable but not essential · Construction Skills SMSTS (Site Managers Safety Training Scheme) · Renewables Qualifications: Solar PV/Solar Thermal Key competences · Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills · Excellent IT Skills. · Strong People Management Skills · Commercially astute · Confident team player · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal · Flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic This job was originally posted as
