Private Wealth Operations Manager - Maternity Cover


Operations Manager - Maternity cover contract.

Management and MI

Prepare reports and MI for the board and Prudential committee and management as required

Liaise with system providers and custodians to maintain good working relationships

Maintain good working relationships between operations, sales and compliance departments.


To be able to process investment transactions promptly, accurately and efficiently and to monitor the teams work.

Trade matching; manually or electronically reconcile internal deal system to external counterparties' confirmations, before transmitting to custodian

Reconcile; FX, trade settlements, cash positions

Discrepancies; ensure any, delays, mandate breaches or other exceptions are noted and reported to management promptly

Corporate actions; correctly processed, recorded and settled

Fund dealing; ensure all applications are processed accurately

Settlement difficulties; resolve issues to ensure prompt settlement

Completeness; ensure that ALL trades are captured & processed

Stock transfers

Transaction reporting - MIFID II


To produce accurate valuations promptly

Reconcile internal to external valuations daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly

Discrepancies; Ensure any delays or other exceptions are noted and reported to management promptly.

Production of quarterly client report packs


Candidate would need to have experience of Client Money (CASS) oversight in a practical operations context, so it is expected that that the candidate will have a good understanding of the CMAR, Internal / External Reconciliations and the Resolution Pack.

Knowledge of the CASS rulebook and the implications of recent FCA policy statements (e.g., 14/9).

Support operational oversight of outsourced providers in meeting CASS requirements.

Regulatory Knowledge

Working knowledge of MIFID II directive.

CRS and FATCA reporting.

Working knowledge of other current regulatory issues that are on the horizon in the private wealth sector.

Experience: Must be in the private wealth sector. This is a very broad role covering a whole range of aspects of administration, including system development and client liaison. The best candidates will have the intelligence and initiative to cover all these roles.

Systems: PULSE, Pershing Nexus, WDX, Bloomberg.

Personality: Hard working, bright personality. Organised, self managing, resilient, with initiative and the ability to handle several tasks at once/able to prioritise. Good communicator - internal/external; diligent; inquisitive; thorough.
