Freedom from Torture is a community-based health care charity dedicated to treating and supporting torture survivors with complex PTSD who seek refuge in the UK. Since 1985 over 50,000 torture survivors have been referred to Freedom from Torture to receive psychological and physical therapies. We also offer practical legal and welfare support, creative groups and services which document torture forensically which enables our clients to process their experiences of torture and trauma and to regain the ability and skills to live a more normal existence.

Thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers - as well as scores of passionate supporters and funders - thousands of torture survivors have been able to rebuild their lives in incredibly difficult circumstances.

The purpose of the role is to provide an effective & efficient clinical records & information service to the organisation as well as to provide support to the Clinical Information Team Leader.

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following skills:

• Experience of administrative and record-keeping systems, particularly within a clinical setting
• Experience of effective data management and efficient information retrieval
• Ability to plan and organise own workload
• Excellent communication skills - both oral & written
• Experience working as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new ways of working, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
