We are seeking a switchedon, experienced administrator who would love to work for a national charity that provides support to individuals who are going through lifechanging experiences.
Working from their Headquarters, you will report directly to the National Secretary providing her with administrative assistance.

Due to the nature of this role and the small size of team, we are seeking an individual who is prepared to get stuckin to a whole variety of tasks, ranging from secretarial duties (preparation of agendas, circulation of minutes), to postoffice mail runs. You will be working from a lovely listed building in the centre of Rochford which has excellent public transport links and working hours will be 9am 5pm, two or three days a week. This is a jobshare position and working days can be negotiated.
You will be responsible for dealing with all incoming and outgoing mail, dealing with telephone/email enquiries, recording and collating statistics and general office administration such as photocopying, manual filing etc.
You will also be fulfilling literature requests from member organisations, direct members of the charity and healthcare professionals. The supplies of said products will also be your responsibility to ensure there are ample numbers available at any one time. Daytoday duties will vary and no day will be the same, however preparation of letters, circulars etc. and general preparations for meetings and events will be involved regularly.

To be successful for this role, you must have:

Previous experience producing complex agendas and minutes.
Excellent allround administrative skills proven through a solid work history.
Proficient in the use of software packages such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work as part of a small team with a can do and hands on approach.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on own initiative.
A pleasant and caring approach when dealing with telephone enquiries.
Ability to handle enquiries of a confidential nature.

Important information

This is an ongoing temporary position, which potentially could go permanent but such decision is unable to be made until next year.

You must be able to attend executive committee meetings in London with the National Secretary four Saturdays per year.

Working hours of 9am 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.
Working days to be negotiated, but will be two or three days per week.
Weekly pay.
