This is a fantastic opportunity based in Medway for a Restructuring & Insolvency Senior Manager to join a highly reputable insolvency practice. The role offers a lot of autonomy and a real chance for the right candidate to further their career. You will be responsible for lots of client contact and the winning/ on boarding process of new clients. Client Details This Medway based client has a national and well known insolvency team, with a wide array of clients across all sectors. They have a well established team with a wealth of experience and are currently looking for a Senior Manager to join the team with excellent future prospects on offer. The role will be responsible for managing, workload, growing the department and bringing new clients on board. Description Restructuring & Insolvency - Senior Manager in Medway Develop a network of contacts with other professionals and work providers, notably local accountants and lawyers, in order to actively seek and exploit business development opportunities Create a structured marketing plan to support the development of the aforementioned network of contacts Work closely with the wider business and general practice in relation to marketing initiatives and cross-selling opportunities Responsible for the strategic management and progression of a variety of cases won from the local market Be technically expert across all formal insolvency processes, notably liquidations (voluntary and compulsory), administrations, voluntary arrangements and bankruptcies Confidently lead high level internal and external meetings Prepare detailed reports and advisory letters to clients on technically complicated matters Work in collaboration with specialist delivery teams (e.g. corporate simplification, restructuring advisory, and contentions insolvency) Ensure that members of the team fully understand their roles and any developments that affect them Contribute to motivating and developing the careers and knowledge of the wider team members Ensure partners are kept fully informed of all material developments on your cases Plan and control the allocation of junior staff, ensuring they understand their roles Manage work-in-progress and disbursements, ensuring bills are raised and paid as soon as possible, with any irrecoverable amounts written off Maintain a full awareness of the services offered by other parts of R&I and departments in the firm and continually look for cross-selling opportunities Responsibility for preparing and presenting internal presentations / training courses Be involved in the interview process for staff in accordance with the firm's guidelines; conduct job appraisals and make objective recommendations for promotion Continuously monitor staff performance, identifying causes for concern and devising appropriate action plans with partners / HR as appropriate Explore and identify more efficient ways of working in line with the firm's values Prepare monthly reports on the local office's operational and financial performance and provide monthly billing forecasts, and respond in good time to all internal reporting requests. Profile Professionally qualified, JIEB or CPI or Qualified by experience. Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or commensurate professional experience Solid proven insolvency experience.
