Our client is a manufacturer of water purifiers, softeners and POU instant hot/chilled taps for both home and commercial use, and they are in need of a Production Manager to be responsible for their production and refurbishing of their bespoke water purification and water softening units. They have just acquired a new production site which requires somebody to help them implement their internal processes alongside the existing leadership team. Job Description This is an essential role for the continuing development of the company's long term plan, and you will be responsible for the following areas: - Leading and building the production team along with responsibility across logistics, procurement & maintenance on site. - Leading the refurbishment of water purification and softening units, as well as managing and being responsible for the use of hazardous cleaning chemicals such as hydrochloric acid. - Improving the overall performance of the manufacturing team in the production of bespoke products for both their commercial and residential clients. - You will be an integral part of the senior Management team. The Successful Applicant - Candidates must show proven experience in managing teams & be able to deliver results from day one. - You will have a successful track record in leading and managing manufacturing teams within SME environments. - You will be able to demonstrate a clear capability to effectively implement modern manufacturing techniques. - You will preferably be able to work and interpret the company ERP system from the outset. - You will need to enjoy working with people to drive performance, training and succession planning. - You will ideally have an electrical qualification, or a plumbing/water related qualification. - You will also need to hold health and safety in high regard.
