Sales Engineer Surrey £40k basic Benefits package Position overview; My market leading client currently has an opening for a Sales Engineer based out of their Surrey, UK office. The Sales Engineer role has the responsibilities to position and demonstrate the company's technology in support of sales activities. The Sales Engineer, in support of sales, will work closely with partners and client positioning the company's technology as a facilitator for process improvements. Job responsibilities; Assist the Sales department with event support, public relations engagements and pre-sales technical issues, including but not limited to bid responses, customer site visits, and individual account related communications. Analyze customer operations for process improvements Maintain technical relationships with customers, re-sellers, and suppliers and report on new industry trends within each of the defined vertical markets Assist the Customer Services staff with transitioning pre-sales technical requirements to implementation requirements. Ensure resource availability for the purposes of technology days and events Prepare product demonstrations Maintain technical product skills in the areas of networking, databases, and products. Assist the Engineering staff with technical input for product enhancements, fixes, or new product development. Develop, provide and maintain needed sales tools, spreadsheets, handouts and technical documents. Remain current on industry trends and help position products and services as the industry leader. Required Qualifications: Two to five years' experience working with scanning software products such as (ie. Kofax) Two to five years' experience with high volume scanners Ability to work independently and work at clients site with minimal oversight Ability to demonstrate and present scanning technology to audiences Experience working with and networking PC's Excellent communication skills with excellent planning, presentation and organization skills Strong consultative problem-solving skills with a strong client service orientation Must be able to work collaboratively in a team based environment and a keen observance of deadline. Proficiency in current Microsoft operating systems, Access and SQL databases as well as Microsoft office products. Must be able to travel to domestic and international locations up to 50%.
