Senior Higher Education Consultant

Aspect Education Ltd is seeking a Senior Higher Education Consultant to join the London team with Kaplan International Pathways, a division of Kaplan Inc.

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • establishing a direct entry counselling service in the UK;
  • using own knowledge of the South East Asian education systems and market in the UK to advise prospective international students;
  • building and maintaining a network of organisations and individuals for the direct entry counselling service;
  • contacting prospective customers and converting them into service users;
  • advising and mentoring potential students on their study options in the UK using specialist experience;
  • reviewing and assessing applications to ensure they satisfy the high standard required by UK universities;
  • liaising with customers and partner universities in relation to applications;
  • efficiently managing customer files and effecting regular contact with customers;
  • supporting customers through all stages of the university application process;
  • assisting with company marketing campaigns; and
  • assisting the management team as required.

Criteria for selection

The candidate must possess the following attributes:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject;
  • strong, demonstrable understanding of the UK higher education system;
  • strong, demonstrable understanding of Thai, Japanese or Vietnamese education systems;
  • fluency in English and in one of either Thai, Japanese or Vietnamese;
  • excellent communication and team working skills;
  • enthusiasm and passion for customer service and international education;
  • excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation skills and highly service minded; and
  • strong IT skills.
