Heritage Care has fantastic opportunities for Care Assistants to join the team at Holmers House located in High Wycombe. Joining us on either a full time or part time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £7.70 rising to £8.00 after probation.

Heritage Care is a charitable organisation that provides a range of flexible individualised care and support services for people with learning disabilities, mental health support needs and older people.

We have opportunities for Care Assistants to join our home, Holmers House based in High Wycombe.  You will work as part of a team providing physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to service users within the scheme to encourage them to achieve maximum independence where possible. To ensure that the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with Heritage Care’s policies and procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards.

You will need to be a great team player and be able to build positive relationships with our service users, their families and our staff. As one of our Care Assistants, you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of older people living within the scheme and how to support them to lead valued lives in the community. Good literacy, numerical and verbal skills are a must. It’s also very important that you are organised, patient and of a caring nature.

Holmers House is a purpose built care home and has specially designed accommodation for older people living with dementia. It has 48 en-suite rooms, divided between its three self-contained units, each of which has their own living room and dining room. All three units have access to the home’s wheelchair accessible, landscaped gardens. Residents are supported by the staff to live as independently as their health conditions will allow and care is personalised to meet each person’s level of need. Our staff team have built a warm and welcoming environment for residents and have all been trained to support people with varying levels of need.

Salary: £7.70 rising to £8.00 per hour after probation. Enhancements are also paid at 10% of hourly rate for night hours worked.

Hours of work:  21, 28 or 35 hours per week available, including early and late shifts, and regular weekends on rolling rota basis .
